From Moor to Machair - Intensive four day drawing workshop.

30 July - 2 August, 10am - 4pm. Venue: Taigh Chearsabhagh

The workshop will be outdoors and in Taigh Chearsabhagh, with tutors Margaret Maclellan and Fiona Pearson. Materials are provided. The workshop takes a maximum of 10 people.. The cost per day is £15.

Painting in the Garden - Margaret Fenton

Fri 27 July. Time: 1pm - 4pm. Venue: The Shed Gallery, 23 Locheport

Painting workshop for a maximum of 5 people in the garden by The Shed Gallery. Materials are provided.

Taster session in Stained Glass - Jarlath Fenton

Fri 3 Aug. Time: 12 - 4pm. Venue: Taigh Chearsabhagh.

A short taster session in stained glass to make a small window pendant for beginners. The workshop will take a maximum of 5 people. Materials are provided.

Boxmaking workshop - Corinna Krause

Tue 24 July. Time: 1pm - 5pm. Venue: The Shore Gallery, 5 Malaclate.

You will be making a biggish box with a lid and covering it in a paper of your choice. The box-making will be based on traditional bookbinder's techniques. Materials provided. Feel free to bring along papers you would like to use. The workshop is for a maximum of 5 participants.

Watercolour workshops - Bill Neill

Sat 28 July & Sat 4 Aug. Time: 11am - 3pm. Venue: Studio Gallery, Askernish.

These two watercolour workshops are for a maximum of 5 people each and materials are provided. Beginners are welcome.

Dyeing workshop - Flora MacDonald

Tue 7 Aug. Time: 1pm - 5pm. Venue: Sheiling Studio, Carinish,

Dyeing using traditional Uist materials. Materials are provided. The workshop will be for a maximum of 4 people.

Weaving workshop - Angela MacDonald

Wed 8 Aug. 11am - 4pm. Venue: Arinabane, North Locheynort.

This workshop takes a maximum of 4 people and material are provided. Bring packed lunch.

Sketching around Carinish - Anne Rabbitts

Sat 21 July. Time 11am - 3pm. Venue: Lowertown Studio, Carinish.

Please be prepared for outdoors as we explore the crofting township of Carinish, the ancient crossing places and the site of the Trinity Temple. Beginners welcome. Bring packed lunch. Materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own. The workshop takes a maximum of 4 people.

Spinning workshops - Denise Bridge

Fri 20 July & Fri 10 Aug. 2pm - 4pm. Venue: An Garradh Mor, West Kilbride.

Students will get a chance to prepare their own wool for spinning and to learn how to spin on both a drop spindle and spinning wheel. The workshops are for a maximum of 4 people each and materials are provided.

Writing workshop " Around the Kitchen Table" - Pauline Prior-Pitt.

Wed 25 July, 10am - 4pm. Venue: 13 Grenitote, Sollas.

A poetry and writing workshop exploring the inner and
outer landscape of memory and place. 5 people max. Lunch
provided (£5) and paid for separately.
