Bàgh an t-Salainn bakery and cafe is in a charming and bracing spot overlooking Lochmaddy Bay, with views of the hills of Harris and the old Lochportain jetty. We offer relaxed and welcoming vibes where you can taste the best of the Outer Hebrides in our freshly baked treats, locally sourced and hand-crafted delicious fillings in our breakfast rolls and baked focaccia selection, soups, and carefully selected teas and coffee.
Our menu changes with the season and we work with a network of local producers and fisherfolk who support ethical and sustainable practices which protect the ecosystems of our land and seas. Our aim is to work with community partners and producers to contribute to a local food web for North Uist, where food is a means of creating and sustaining communities.
