EVEN HERE – Pecha Kucha

Join us for a special Pecha Kucha on Friday 7th February. Even Here, Even Now have issued a call out to artists and creatives in Uist, to present on the theme of Ecology. The evening of short presentations will take place in the cafe in Taigh Chearsabhagh and there will be regular breaks for refreshments and conversation. All are welcome to attend, to learn, enjoy and support our presenters!

The evening’s presenters are local artists and writers, who have been asked to consider their practice as a living thing, a network of connections, bodies and relationships. Reflecting on the theme of ecology, they will talk about their practice and what it means to be part of an island ecology.

What is a Pecha Kucha?

A Pecha Kucha is a very short talk! The format is 20 image based slides, with 20 seconds for each slide, so the talk ends up just over 6 minutes long. Presentations should focus on using images rather than lots of text, and each talk is strictly timed! It’s a fun, fast format; a great practice for those who are new to presenting, and a great exercise for those who are more well versed.

EVEN HERE Pecha Kucha is one in a series of events presented by EVEN HERE, EVEN NOW. Read the EVEN HERE, EVEN NOW manifesto here and meet the Artist Advocates here.
