The science of On Sonorous Seas, with the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust

The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT) kicks off the weekend of events on Friday evening, to explore the science behind the research which has contributed so much to the On Sonorous Seas project. Learn all about the research collected on board HWDT’s research vessel, Silurian, how the underwater soundscape is monitored and what impact this data is making to ensure whales, dolphins and porpoises are protected and valued in the marine environment on the west coast of Scotland.

You can donate to HWDT here: https://hwdt.org/donate-1

Caroline Willis of the HWDT will also be giving a short talk at A Gathering of Air and Sea in Hosta Hall on Saturday 16th.

These events are part of a series of free activities taking place over the weekend, linked to Mhairi Killin’s On Sonorous Seas exhibition in Gallery 2 at Taigh Chearsabhagh.
