Chi Mi, I See edited by Bill Innes with introductions, notes and parallel translation and a new preface by Lena Walker.
The Gaelic Poetry (with English translations) of Donald John MacDonald.
Donald John MacDonald (1919-1986) was brought up in a Scottish community, poor in material comforts but rich in Gaelic tradition and culture. He was a crofter most of his life but also collected a great deal of folklore. He mastered the intricacies and demands of traditional Gaelic meter and rhyme to equal the best work of the ancient bards, yet went beyond the limits of their verse to become a great modern poet.
This book includes 100 poems in Gaelic and English with accompanying translations, notes, and introductions.
