Joshua Bonnetta is an interdisciplinary artist working with film, video and sound in various modes of theatrical exhibition, performance and installation. He is an Associate Professor in the department of Cinema, Photography and Media Arts at Ithaca College in New York state.

He is currently based at Taigh Chearsabhagh until 18 January and hopefully returning this summer,  producing work which will hopefully be shown here in 2019.

“I am developing a film project around the idea of sound and place. I am interested in finding different narratives specific to North Uist that have something to do with sound or listening to sound. Looking to speak with people that might have any stories whatsoever about the sound of North Uist or might know of any sound related story, folklore or place names that might deal with something sound related.”

If you are interested in possibly helping Joshua please contact [email protected] soon.

Joshua will present a talk about his practice and presenting film & audio excerpts from his work at 7.30pm on Wednesday 17 January. Free, all welcome. Limited places so booking advised.?
