IMPORTANT UPDATE:  Fèis nan Solas/Festival of Light at Langass – a new date will be announced soon for early 2019.   A bright start for the new year!

 

This project is part financed by the Scottish Government and the European Community Outer Hebrides LEADER 2014-2020 programme.

Please join us early in the new year for The GREAT BEAR Hunt with FREE shuttle-bus* from Taigh Chearsabhagh to the Illuminated Langass Woodland & Lantern Display. We will confirm the new date soon!

The theme is The Great Bear Hunt, seeking the crann-arain or seven stars of The Plough in the constellation (Rinneamh) ceata-cam, Ursa Major or the Great Bear.

*Places limited – Please Book in advance on 01870 603970 – Shuttle service from 6:30pm

Please use the free shuttle-bus from Taigh Chearsabhagh as the car park at Langass Woodland will be in use by the buses throughout the evening

There will also be a Craft Fair in Taigh Chearsabhagh from 4pm-7pm .

Our cafe will remain open all day and will be serving Soup & Filled Rolls from 6pm-8:30pm (Teas/Coffees & Baking until 9pm).

SAFETY NOTICE – YOUR VISIT TO LANGASS WOODLAND

Please keep to the official path at all times.

The path includes some steep slopes and uneven surfaces. Please be careful.

Do not touch the lights – they may be very hot.

If a steward asks you to do something please comply with their request.

No smoking or vaping allowed on site.

No alcohol is permitted on site.

DOGS – Only assistance dogs are allowed at this event.

CLOTHING

Please wear warm, waterproof clothing.

Please wear sturdy walking shoes or boots.

VISIBILITY

All designated pathways will be marked with reflective tape.

Please bring a small torch.

Only use your torch in an emergency.

CHILDREN

Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
