3 islands – a series of three international artists workshops 2007-8 on Scottish islands
2 artists – Danish artist Trine Pedersen and Tero Kontinen from Finland met at the North Uist workshop
1 exhibition –since meeting, they have worked together, collaborating on the same drawings.
Tero, from Finland, and Trine, from Denmark, started their drawing collaboration in autumn 2008 on North Uist at the 3 Islands international artists workshop hosted by Taigh Chearsabhagh and this is continuing actively.
“Each drawing has been created during certain period of time by layering different elements together and the work is finished when both of us agree about it. During the process the drawings can be filled up with spontaneous traces of pencil or brush together with more accurately and slowly drawn elements. Each visual element and color might have a reference to our daily lives, to our conversations or to a purely imaginary world of ours.”
The works always have a title from each artist.

Love this work, and the collaborative idea..
