Poetry Zoom – Jen Hadfield

Join us for a virtual poetry evening MC’d by Pauline Prior-Pitt

Special guest Jen Hadfield is a renowned poet and visual artist who has made her home in Shetland. Her first collection, Almanacs, won an Eric Gregory Award in 2003.

She is the youngest female poet to be awarded the T.S. Eliot Prize with her second collection Ni-No Place in 2008. Her third collection Byssus was published by Picador in 2014

Jen’s poems and visual art are based on her experience of living, working and traveling in Shetland, the Outer Hebrides, and Canada. Her themes include home and belonging, wildness and subsistence, landscape and language, and the Shetland dialect.
