We are delighted to welcome artist Sharon Quigley who will be collaborating and working with artists from the Craigard Centre. The project entitled the Living Lab will be a sensory mapping project examining lives and landscapes in North Uist. The results of their work will be exhibited at Taigh Chearsabhagh in October.
Over the course of this residency Sharon and the Craigard group will capture experiences and thoughts through a variety of cartographic approaches and artistic interpretations, recording personal memories, daily journeys and drawing inspiration from crofting and physical environments such as beach, dune and machair.
Sharon Quigley is an artist based in Edinburgh who balances community collaboration and engagement with self directed studio practice. In her role at Project Ability and The Drawing Room (National Galleries of Scotland) she creates bespoke activities to enable all walks of life to participate in the creative process.
