The Travelling Gallery is a custom-built, mobile, contemporary art space inside a big beautiful bus, which brings high quality contemporary art exhibitions and events to schools and communities throughout Scotland.
THIS LAND presents a beautifully alternative view of the Scottish landscape, inspired by the Year of Natural Scotland, through works by artists with a diverse range of practices.
The exhibition includes painting by Henry Coombes, work exploring the island of Rockall by Andy Holden, sculpture and photography by Hannah Imlach, digitally re-worked landscape photographs by Michael Reisch and Iain Sarjeant‘s photographs of everyday landscape taken in various locations throughout the country.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a complementary programme, including the Beta Band music video ‘Inner Meet Me’ by John Maclean and ‘Wish you were here’, a series of 16 postcards by Frances Davies.
Visitors will also be able to browse artists’ books by Sarah Burch, Soosan Danesh, Morag Donkin, Erin Donnelly, Amy Hutson , Louise Kernaghan , Kate McAllan , Emily Moore, Natasha Russell and Mary Walters.
