Call for UAA Artists’ Cafe exhibitions in Taigh Chearsabhagh Café 2018/19

Taigh Chearsabhagh is pleased to announce collaboration with the Uist Arts Association to hold a series of short Café exhibitions through 2018/19

Who Can Apply?
Single artists or groups can apply.

How to Apply?
Complete application form and submit electronically to Jane and Fiona at TC, jane@taigh-chearsabhagh.org and fiona@taigh-chearsabhagh.org and to Cally Yeatman (UAA Chair) cally@catherine-yeatman.com

Or submit a single paper copy addressed to Jane Morrison Ross at Taigh Chearsabhagh

The Gallery
This will be the café space in TC with the large wall on the LHS and other wall space.
Please note that this is a busy café space, and works must be suitable for display in this environment, 3-D works must be firmly fixed to the wall, and not protrude into the public zone.

About the Exhibitions
There are six 6-week slots available, with one week between each slot. Any artist selected will be expected to hang their own work and make their own arrangements for assistance if required. And take it down at the end of the exhibition. Works can be available for sale, with the usual TC commission of 25%

About Selection
Once all the applications have been submitted they will be assessed by a team made up from Taigh Chearsabhagh team and the UAA Committee, and slots will be allocated accordingly. Unsuccessful candidates will be informed

Support from Taigh Chearsabhagh
TC will advertise the exhibitions through their normal channels and also provide costs for Hebridean Graphics to produce vinyl signage with the name of the artist/group and exhibition name (if relevant). Plus a short 100 word maximum artist’s statement, or a description about the exhibition.
