As part of our Saturday Club program we will be running a Wader Animation Project, in collaboration with SNH, where children will have the opportunity to learn about wader habitat and make a short animation to highlight issues affecting these habitats, all while having fun!
We will be using a technique called Stop-Frame animation and we are sure that the results will be very entertaining.
The first session will take place at Balranald where we will be joined by experts from SNH to spend an afternoon learning about waders and gather inspiration for the short film with art activities on the beach and machair. Please ensure your child has suitable clothing and footwear for the weather and is wearing sunscreen.
The following Saturday Club sessions will take place at the normal Saturday Club times in Gallery 1 at Taigh Chearsabhagh – this is where we will be making our short animation.
