January and the beginning of February – this has been a busy time in the Darkroom as well as in the Print Workshop.
Tara Drummie has been busy developing pinhole photographs created during a workshop held at Sgoil Uibhist a Tuath with sixteen pupils from P4, P5 and P6. These are currently being exhibited in the exhibition Through the Pinhole – a lovely, must see, exhibition in the café in Taigh Chearsabhagh
The work is a fine demonstration of the benefits created by artists working in collaboration with the community.
I am happy to say that the Darkroom is also being used by some of the other new members – so please remember to book before you come to work in these studio spaces.
I have run a couple of Print Workshops for the UHI NC and BA students – everyone worked extremely hard, had a great time and produced fabulous work.

It would be great to be part of the 20:20 print exchange this year – this takes place in the Autumn. This is not a photographic event but digital prints are accepted. This is a prestigious print exchange that is good fun to be part of, it also provides a platform for Printmakers to exhibit work.
Taigh Chearsabhagh Print Workshop needs 5 members to participate in this event, it would put this Print Workshop back on the map …
For more details about this event please click here to visit the 20:20 website.
