Earth Walk with Margot Henderson

Join poet and storyteller Margot Henderson for Earth Walk, a poetry evening celebrating the approach of Imbolc, the midway point between the winter solstice and spring equinox. Imbolc, also known as St Brigid’s Day, promises new life and fertility and has been celebrated in various ways by people since Neolithic times.

Margot is a Scots Irish poet, storyteller, songwriter and community artist. Their work celebrates our connection to nature, place, community and heritage. They write and devise performance pieces for festivals, conferences and cultural events, including Is This It and Tae Absent Friends.

This will be a combined socially distanced live event in the café at Taigh Chearsabhagh with a concurrent Zoom event for people who would prefer to attend online.

If you are joining us in-person, the building will be open from 7pm to get everyone seated and comfortable before we go live.

Please book a ticket before 7pm if you would like to receive the Zoom invitation. The link will then be emailed out before the beginning of the event, for a 7.30pm broadcast. Please take care to check you have entered your details correctly when booking.

Margot will also be facilitating a writing workshop at Taigh Chearsabhagh on Saturday the 29th of January. For further details and booking, please visit the event page.
