To celebrate the relaunching of Taigh Chearsabhagh’s Print Workshop and Darkroom facilities, we invite you to participate in a Drypoint Printmaking workshop and a Photogram Photography workshop. Experience first-hand the new makeover developments in the Taigh Chearsabhagh Print and Darkroom studios! This will be a perfect and fun opportunity to learn about or re-familiarise yourself with our studio spaces, as a newcomer or a skilled practitioner.
After the workshops, everyone is welcome to join us for an early evening social from 6pm until 8pm (including anyone not attending a workshop). As well as snacks and drinks, there will be a guided tour of the Print Workshop and Darkroom spaces, as well as a chance to hear about future plans and developments. You don’t need to book a space to come along to the social.

The free workshops will run from 4pm – 6pm in the Print and Darkroom Studios, accessed via Gallery 1. The workshops are suitable for beginners and beyond aged 12+.
Drypoint – etching without the acid drawing with a dry point – to create an impression of a drawing that, when inked, can be printed. Participants may bring in a line drawing that they might like to make into a print. Maximum 8 participants.
Photogram – creating photographic prints without using a camera by laying objects onto photographic paper and exposing it to light. Participants may bring in some objects that they might like to work with – translucent things work well as a starting point. Maximum 6 participants.
Spaces are limited so booking is essential; please use the free ticketing system below. If you need to cancel your space for any reason, please email taigh@taigh-chearsabhagh.org as soon as you can so we can offer it to someone else.

If you would like to support our continued programming and enable us to keep offering free events, please consider making a donation to Taigh Chearsabhagh.
