After a long break, Taigh Ciùil is back!

Taigh Ciùil is a series of live music nights hosted by Taigh Chearsabhagh, with the best traditional musicians and a licensed bar. Taigh Chearsabhagh is delighted to announce that Chloe Steele and Culla will be the first acts to join us for our Taigh Ciùil relaunch. We hope you can come along for what promises to be a brilliant night of music with these talented musicians.
We’ll gather for 7.30pm at Lochmaddy Community Hall, a spacious venue to keep us that little bit safer with enough room to maintain social distancing. Booking your ticket ahead is essential, which you can purchase below.
Chloe Steele
Chloe Steele is a Gaelic singer and piper born and bred on the Isle of South Uist. Chloe has an extreme passion for her culture and works hard at ensuring those who follow her will be inspired to protect and celebrate the strong culture and tradition that exists on the islands. Chloe has recently graduated from the University of the Highlands and Islands with an Honours degree in Applied Music. During her time on the course, Chloe dedicated much of her time to her community in South Uist, running monthly ceilidhs and teaching traditional music to youth on the island.
Culla are a young, up and coming traditional music band based on the Isle of BenbeculaCulla first embarked on their musical voyage in March 2020 when the COVID19 Pandemic struck the UK and world beyond. Since then, they have been active online, releasing multiple videos on their social media platforms to try and keep people’s spirits high throughout the dark time, thus gaining many followers and lifelong friends on the way. Culla’s aim is to bring something new and fresh to the traditional Scottish music scene and are excited to share new content with current and future followers and supporters.
