The Edge of the World is director Michael Powell’s breakthrough film, about the evacuation of a remote Hebridean island (1936, 75min). This is followed by Return to the Edge of the World, where Powell, with surviving members of the cast and crew, return to Foula to recall their youthful exploits (1978, 23min).
