Ticks + Lyme Disease Awareness Session

NHS Western Isles is co-ordinating three events in Uist about ticks and Lyme disease. The events will be an opportunity to find out about the current situation and the epidemiological research undertaken by the Universities of Glasgow and Liverpool.

There are two drop-in events, where people can come, have a cup of tea, find out about the research, and ask questions. These are at:

  • Wednesday 22nd February from 10am-2pm: Taigh Chearsabhagh, Lochmaddy, North Uist (informal drop-in session)
  • Thursday 23rd February from 10am-2pm: Cnoc Soilleir, Daliburgh, South Uist (informal drop-in session)

There is also a Public Meeting in Balivanich Hall, Benbecula, on Wednesday 22nd February, starting at 7pm. This event will have representatives in attendance from organisations including University of Glasgow, University of Liverpool and NHS Western Isles.
