For this years’ Annual Winter Show, Uist Arts Association is devoting the theme to ‘Peace’. This theme is expressed through small art works submitted by local artist members. The artists participating will be donating a percentage of their sales to Medical Aid Palestine: a UK based humanitarian organisation that works across the West Bank, Gaza and in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.
The show will open with a preview on Saturday 8th November and we would be delighted if you would join us in the Cafe for the launch at 4.30pm.
Many of the artworks will be available for sale, with new pieces added from time to time throughout the duration of the exhibition up until Christmas.
The Uist Arts Association (UAA) was formed over 25 years ago by a group of people interested in promoting and facilitating the arts in Uist, including artists, makers, writers, and those keen to support arts activities and appreciation of the arts. More information on the Association, including how to join and profiles of members, can be found on the UAA website.
The UAA Winter Open exhibition is free to view in the Taigh Chearsabhagh Café Gallery, 10 am – 4 pm, Monday to Saturday, from 8th November to 24th December. If you would like to support our continued programming and enable us to keep offering free events, please consider making a donation to Taigh Chearsabhagh.
