A showcase of student work from the NC Art & Design and BA (Hons) Fine Art
UHI North, West and Hebrides are delighted to hold the annual Degree Show and Open Studios Exhibition, a showcase of student work from the NC Art & Design and BA (Hons) Fine Art.
Please join us at the opening night on Friday 22nd May, 6-8pm, to celebrate their achievements. All are welcome, refreshments are provided.
The annual exhibition brings together work from all of the art school’s students and shows the quality and diversity of work being made across the two art courses. You will find explorations of sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, installation, textiles and more. Themes include ecological and environmental concerns, personal and global ideas, and material exploration.
Students exhibiting from the BA (Hons) Fine Art are Maggie Barker, Chloe Munro, Julie Scremin, Niamh Bennett, Janet Beck, Natalie Cloughley-Macleod, Elizabeth French, Aimee MacInnes, Sandra Robertson, Ania Rolinska, Caroline Williams and Charlotte Young. Exhibiting from the NC Art & Design are Niall T Caimbeul, Maggie Macleod and Carmel Smith. Works are available to purchase, to support the artists in their creative development.
In addition to the Open Studio Show, Maggie Barker will be presenting her Degree Show exhibition, ‘listening…like a selkie’ in Taigh Chearsabhagh.
