Writing workshop with Chrys Salt: Make your writing speak

Join us for a writing workshop with poet, writer, performer and theatre director, Chrys Salt: Make your writing speak.

There’s no reason on earth why poets/writers should be good performers, but it helps.

Chrys will share a few tricks of the trade from her experience as both a former actor (Repertory Theatre/West End/TV/Radio) and an extensive performer of her own work. Because…

A good performance can make good poems sound even better.

A good performance can make even second rate poems sound good

A good performer can make Yellow Pages sound interesting.

Chrys has offered this workshop to writers world-wide. This workshop is free but spaces are limited, therefore booking is essential.

All are welcome to join us also on Thursday 25th April, at 7.30pm, for a Poetry Evening with Chrys Salt: Home Front / Front Line.

Chrys started her career as an actor appearing in Repertory Theatre, The West End, TV and Radio. She has written five full poetry collections and four pamphlet collections and has been translated into several languages. Her work has been set to music by various composers. Chrys has performed UK wide and worldwide and has received numerous awards and bursaries. In 2014 she was awarded an MBE for Services to The Arts.
