Join us at Taigh Chearsabhagh for an informal drawing workshop with Margaret Fenton. Drop-in for 10 mins, or stay for the full session – a fun class that is open to everyone, drawing edible plants, fruit and vegetables using the sense of touch.
Margaret Fenton writes
My drawing is like my garden; weeds meander through the vegetable patch as lines explore the page, trees and shrubs are bent with the wind as random marks jump around, blossom lies soggy and broken on the ground as the ink splatters across but then something happens and the magic of the garden emerges.
My drawing is like my cooking; open the fridge door and create not knowing how the meal will taste or how the finished drawing will look.
My drawing is like an expression rather than a technical skill, feeling free to create without fear and have fun.
Margaret’s workshop will take place just after a free plant swap out on the deck on the 18th of June. To find out more about the An Gàrradh: Plant Swap, head to the event page.
