Different Gàidhlig words describe the tone and hue within colours. In this workshop young adults will have an opportunity to experiment with glas ’s gorm on fabrics. We will explore the blues by creating unique designs on denim jackets, t-shirts and tote bags to take home. This is a hands-on workshop and participants will explore the cyanotype process by placing images and objects to create imprints on different fabrics. No previous experience is needed, participants are encouraged to bring along any ideas and images they would like to use, and even their old blue jeans!
A series of three workshops in Cyanotype and Gaelic folklore is also being offered in February, for those aged 8-14.
There will be a café exhibition with photographs of the outcomes.
This workshop takes place during Seachdain na Gàidhlig, a week-long celebration of Gaelic language and culture across the globe.
